Q1 2021 Performance of Top iOS Personal Finance Apps in Brazil

As the first quarter of 2021 wrapped up, Sensor Tower provided insightful data on the performance of leading personal finance apps on the iOS platform in Brazil. These apps assist users with budgeting and planning, and their usage trends offer a glimpse into consumer behavior.

Splitwise, a popular app for splitting expenses, showed a revenue trend that increased significantly from $94K at the end of December to a peak of $175K in the last week of March. Downloads, however, decreased from approximately 4.8K to 508, and weekly active users followed a similar downward trend from around 10.3K to 7.7K.

Belgium-based Tricount - Split group bills also experienced fluctuations. Its revenue varied, with a notable spike to $45K in early March before settling back to $35K by the end of March. Downloads saw a sharp decline from 785 to 105, with weekly active users decreasing from 1.9K to 1.3K.

From Denmark, Monefy: Money Tracker showed an upward revenue trend, starting at $60K and ending the quarter at an impressive $157K. Download numbers were steady, peaking at 402 in early February and ending at 150. Weekly active users saw growth from 762 to 1.2K.

Fast Budget - Expense Manager by AppFer S.R.L. displayed a revenue increase from $32K to $124K over the quarter. Downloads, however, experienced a decrease from 280 in early February to just 27 by the end of March.

Lastly, Spendee Money & Budget Planner by Cleevio s.r.o. showed a mixed revenue trend, starting strong at $169K, dipping in February to $63K, and then rising again to $156K. Downloads decreased from 246 to 11, while weekly active users dropped from 1K to 689.
